What can genes tell us about Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease? Community Conversation

Are you related to someone with a Dementia disease or Alzheimer's? Do you have an interest as to how your genetics and lifestyle impacts and interacts with the possibility of developing a Dementia related disease? Would you like to know more about the link between genes and Dementia?

Researchers from Edith Cowan University would like to speak to community members to discuss how they can design better communication methods, how to increase community involvement in their research and what would motivate people to make lifestyle changes which may decrease community members risk of becoming unwell.

Experience required

Researchers would like to speak with people from diverse ages and backgrounds. Including:

  • People who have a lived experience of Dementia, or are a friend or carer of someone with Dementia
  • Young people who have grandparents or other older family members with Dementia or Alzheimer's
  • People who have little or no experience or knowledge of Dementia or Alzheimer's Disease
  • Older, healthy people
  • People who would like to know more about what genes can tell us about Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease
